Social Enterprise Hub

The Vine Trust, as an established Social Enterprise, is uniquely placed to lead the drive in Walsall to establish a Social Enterprise Zone, and its new facility Goldmine provides the ideal place to establish an Enterprise Hub providing the following resources:

• Education/training
• Mentoring
• Marketing/promoting social enterprise
• Networking/events and conferences
• Access to finance

Development of a social enterprise culture and network is a crucial part of this, growing knowledge and an environment where social enterprise can start-up is vital.

Building on the work already undertaken by Trade Walsall, the aim is to create a focal point/centre where help is known to be available, training is offered, and connecting/networking with other social enterprises can occur.

The Vine Trust is working with Walsall Borough Council and other partners, Eastside Consulting, SWEDA, Black Country Chamber of Commerce, Black Country LEP, to form a partnership to promote the Walsall Social Enterprise Zone and will gear up marketing to promote the new hub and Social Enterprise in a wider sense. Promotion will include networking events and drop in session where prospective and established enterprise operators can come to the hub.

To fulfil this role as a seedbed for the growth of new social enterprises, The Vine Trust will also offer desk space where start-up/new enterprises can begin to work in an interactive environment alongside/with easy access to these support services.
